Looks like an English silver medieval groat, almost certainly genuine. It's been clipped at some time and some of the legends are missing. I'm sure someone will chip in with a more positive identification soon. It's a London Mint issue (Civitas London) on the reverse. These coins were minted for over 100 years with only minor changes to the design through several reigns. You could browse the pages of Numista until you find a photo of one that matches with yours!
