Pick this up today with a 1 dollar British colomabia unc

I'm guessing the dollars are 0.5 finesse silver or am I wrong? What about the smaller coins?
Have no clue as to whether people collect this or not.

Correct-
The Dollar is 50 % silver. The rest are regular proof coins.

Thanks for sharing!

I collect the silver dollars, but don't own many of the proof sets. I don't regularly collect the other denominations, so there isn't much of a need for me to buy complete proof sets.

Hope you enjoy having the set in your collection!

it was too cheap to past up (~$18.20 USD) and looked non-shabby

I believe I sets 1971 have a complete collection. Started at an auction. I was the only bidder for the Canadian 1971 - 1991 most for less then face value. So I just kept on collecting the sets.

$18.20 is a good price.
Only the REGINA dollar is silver, about US$10.50 worth, the other dollar is pure nickel.

@Raised on rock'
Sounds like you made a great buy.
The 1971-1980 double dollar sets are not proof, the proof sets begin in 1981.
In the 1971 and 1972 sets there are no silver dollars, instead each set contains two nickel dollars.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

There is very little interest in anything Canadian around here except for the large cents.
