I received this 20.00 from the bank, was wondering if anyone could tell me what happened to it.

Sure I can tell you what happened to it. Someone feels animus toward Jackson being on the modern $20. So they went out and got a Harriet Tubman stamp and stamped over it. History is viewed through many lenses so it can be perceived quite differently depending on what angle you're coming from. Andrew Jackson is a very polarizing figure, he is portrayed with both disdain and admiration depending on who the author is. So he is going to mean something different to a lot of people.
