Is this a farthing or a halfpenny? What is the date on the reverse?

The Coincraft catalogue says that there are variations in the position of the ribbon and lettering.

This is mine. It looks like extra metal on the OP overlying the "O" of CAROLO. I can't see that a die with that much of a gouge would have been used, so either a Cud or post mint damage.
