Hi, I am not much of a coin person but I do stack silver. My father recently left me 2 pails full of silver coins and I have been off loading them locally at coins stores, online and on ebay. I haven't much knowledge in the coin department and pretty much just look at other coins on line and every once in a while a nice ebay Seller will message me and tell me that my listings are worth much more.
Long story short. I have no clue all the varieties of Error Coins and I'd hate to sell something that may have value to it for pennies.
I came across this Kennedy 1964 silver half and it has a big gauge in it. I thought maybe it was just that, a big gauge but the T is present and you would have thought it would be gauged off and the metal to the left looks melted onto it?
Anyone with knowledge in this department that can help me out.
Thanks, Much appreciated!

looks to be a lamination, which is somewhat uncommon on that coin, so it could add a few dollars to the value

Yes never heard of lamination but I googled it and this coin on link above looks very similar to the error on the 1964 kennedy

. Very nice find. Check ebay sold values for an idea on current values. Looking forward to your other finds,
