So I came upon this site, because I happen to have a few silver coins that I think may have some value to them and I need to know for sure what I'm dealing with here.

I haven't taken pictures yet, but a few of the coins I have are:

Franklin Mint History of the United States|First Edition Sterling Silver

500th Anniversary Christopher Columbus|Discovering the Americas

150 Aniversario De La Independencia|Centrol Americana 1971

I'm not sure how much value these coins have to them, but any help/feedback would be appreciated, thank you!

These sound like medals from your description. If you can post some pics later we'll know for sure.

Welcome aboard!

Yes, those sound like Franklin Mint medals. The Franklin Mint is not associated with the US Mint, so they are not US coins. But do post some pictures so that we will know for sure!

Sadly, the Franklin mint items are only worth the bullion melt value unless you can find someone that collects them. You'll find us coin collectors really have no interest in anything the Franklin mint produces. I see these types of things come into my local shop all the time, they pay just below melt. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
