be patient I'm trying to learn what I'm looking at. this unc coin has more damage all over more than any of my other unc coins. these are just what affects the letters. not sure how this much damage could happen.

Nice pictures but it helps if you would also include a full size photo.
This gives us a perspective of the whole coin.

Uncirculated business strikes can also have damage after they have left the striking chamber
as they are massed produced and quality is not the main concern.
They go down chutes, conveyor belts and are then put in totes with about 200,000
other coins to be shipped out. This is why high grade business strikes are hard to come by.
It is hard for them to escape any damage.

I did list it with other pics but everyone focused only on the colon mark and not the other damage I just wanted to list these better pics to know if grease could cause the flat tops on most the lettering on both sides of coin it seems so unlikely to me that that much damage opposing obverse and reverse same area would happen because it fell in a bin of coins without flattening out the edge of the coin as well.

Letters look normal , stop blowing them up 500 times and they won't look damaged .

Can you see? The Second pic e r, the top half of r is flattened even with the surface as previous ones are half flattened. 3rd pic tops of t and y are almost even with the field. There are flattened tops of most the letters. I can see them with the naked eye. I blew them up because no one seems to be able to see the damage. And its not normal compared to the 500 sets Ive looked at so far. Obviously I need to go talk to someone in person!
