"Art Bar"?! I'm glad I wasn't drinking coffee when I read that. Just a standard C-S bullion bar. As that's .3215 troy ounces, so far somebody is paying $443.23/ounce for that little thing. Yikes!

Hmpph. That's something like 1/3 of an ounce. While I am not defending the seller and the obvious attempt to have their listing "seem" like 10 ounces, the winning bidder can only blame themselves. That is unless this brand of bullion does have a collector following. The auction clearly states what is for sale. Just to help you all picture this a little better, here's an example that will show the actual size of this a bit better. You're right bherring, someone is not going to be happy when they receive something this size...... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...po=LVI&ps=54

There are other listing for the suisse silver 10 gram bars , starting at around 20 bucks .
while suisse has a reputation for a great product they are not really all that scarce if you want one you can find it .

I don't get it.. It clearly says 10 grams in the item description: "UP FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS THIS BEAUTIFUL 10 GRAM CREDIT SUISSE ART BAR" Someone must have accidentally hit '0' before pressing enter.

I better put my 10-gram Credit Suisse Gold bar on ebay right now! Hey, if bidders can't tell grams from troy ounces, this should get at least $8000! It's just like this thread from yesterday, 'bidder inattention' ! https://goccf.com/t/40567&whichpage=1Since someone paid $162.50 for an empty box, that would make an $8000 1/3 oz. gold bar almost seem like a fair deal by comparison!

nah, I think someone bid on the 10g bar because 10g silver bars are extremely extremely rare, compared to 10oz. He probably thought it was 10oz like someone would actually be selling than 10g

Quote: 10g silver bars are extremely extremely rare Maybe due to size...but I do see them for EU 7.50 ea. elsewhere on the 'net--better price! I now see that closed at $465/oz. 10g is a miniscule of silver.
