Is this a Die Cud, or break... or so.ething else all together?

I know somethings not right with this ear, but as to the correct terminology for it... I'm not sure?

Is this a well known error, and if so... what is the proper identification of this specific coin.

From what I can see from the images provided, I just see a normal worn dime. the ear took a few hits causing some damage.
Can you provide a close up of the ear?

. There is nothing out of the ordinary with your dime. It has been around for about 25 years and has been in and out of a lot of peoples pockets over that time frame The ear on your dime has been flattened and damaged during its lifetime and there is nothing here that would have been made at the mint.

PMD and a weak strike seem to make it look like that.
