The key element to look for is the designer's initials M.G. on the truncation. The truncation on the strapless coins was cut like 45°. If you can see them as clear as a bell, it's a strapless coin. When the die was recut, the truncation was made at a much sharper angle to the plane of the coin (closer to 90°), so the letters are much harder to make out.
