Gold fanams from south India are normally round and weigh between 0.4-0.5 grams.

I don't know what this is, but it doesn't look like any fanams I've seen.
Hopefully someone will come along who recognizes what it is.

Looks like a gold "bele" or fractional (1/10?) fanam of the Vijayanagara Empire.

I got a handful of them in a lot a couple years ago; took this reference photo

Possible-Identification-Fanam

Mine are all 2-3mm and register as 0.00g on my scale, I believe these should be about 0.05g.
