I bought the dragon because it's the most popular/representative(for me) of the Chinese year symbols. It's also mythical(
rite?), as opposed to the real world other animals. But as it turns out the Tiger has come to be the most expensive of the series($300+). I don't know why. The mintage is similar to the rest.
Collect what you like. I got the dragon for $37 cuz it was just the encapsulated coin and COA

. No case, box, card, etc. And I have no desire for any other. I just wanted an example for the series, and I felt at the time... dragon.
It would be hard to predict the future value of the set. Some years values go up and down on different coins in the series. These coins are well represented on
ebay, so rarity, or future availability seems just as hard to predict. I don't think you would realize much, if any, profit from the set. Collect for your own enjoyment.

I know that this
Beany Baby mentality

of the vast
RCM product line is wearing thin on some collectors. This further questions the future value of these rather expensive(approx. $90

original list price for an oz of sterling with a few molecules of gold) collectables.
But still, collecting is what
you make of it...

Beany Baby mentality = make a few of a lotta different things as opposed to a lot of a few things + pix VVV!
