Wow, that's an interesting error note! I don't know what the printing/cutting sequence is for Scottish bank notes, but it's intriguing how only a portion of the printing for the front was done with the paper folded, and the reverse and remainder of the front was with the paper not folded...

Looking at this note it looks like the base out line printing was done, and this note was on the upper right corner of the sheet, then the sheet had a corner fold over and the primary was then run, dried and cut with the fold over. the reverse of the note has the remainder of the missing serial number and the balance of the Bank of Scotland.

So its a printing and fold over printing error with a cutting error as well. So its somewhat un-common!

it is very dramatic & collectible error.

I'm no expert on errors but I've been eye-balling them for the past 20 years (or so) & I'd say you've got at least 2 major errors in that Bank of Scotland £10:
a) incomplete printing, missing over 50% face or back
b) cut & fold large part attached
(These are E1 & E24 listed on my Canadian Charlton Guide to Government paper money)

Each error multiplies the value of the note with a premium over 70X FV (so likely 140X FV). So, I'd say roughly about £1100- £1400. But like I wrote, I'm no expert on errors, so I'm just "guess-timating." I've also noticed that BOC errors have only recently gotten much attention & collectors tend to overlook double errors (or radar/replacement, double-whammy notes). World errors, replacements & special numbers tend to go pretty cheap (compared to US & some countries) IMO.

But I really like it. Great note & GEM UNC66EPQ to boot! Congrats!

As a collector of error notes that is one of the best error notes that I have seen.
