Can anyone tell me, did the metal composition change in the sixpence.
I have a 1910 sixpence that is very bright (see pictures), but the later ones from 1944 on that I have are very dull.

Welcome to the forum !!

The sixpence from 1910 thru 1945 are the same composition of 0.9250 silver.

The composition changed in 1946-1963 to 0.5000 silver .
