Can anyone tell me what the original RCM "issue price" was for this particular coin?

I think they were around $2.95 but I might be wrong.
They are selling for about $8.00 on ebay now so it wouldn't be too much
more than that.

It sold for $14.95 CAD. It was sold as part of the Mint's "Go Canada Go" program to support Canada's Olympic athletes. A portion of the proceeds from sales of the coin package were earmarked for the Canadian Olympic Excellence Fund.

Thanks for the confirmation on issue price. It seems it was common for such releases to resell below the original mint asking price.
Rest in Peace

You forgot to mention that the inspiration of the coin was the 'rumour-secret' that there was a loonie embedded in Centre Ice at the 2002 Olympics https://www.abc4.com/news/a-little-...at-happened/ Of course Canada went on to win Gold in both Mens and Womens. Which of course, makes it priceless.
