There are also other $5 coins with Sir Don on them.

The 1996 $5 Bi Metal coin and...
the 1997 $5 coin of the same design but only released in a PNC.

Then there is a large Uncirculated Alunimum Bronze $5 coin in 2001.(different design)

And another 2001 $5 coin this time a 99.9% Silver Proof.

Togeter with the $20 Lim has posted and the 20c piece, I'd say Australia has honoured Sir Donald Bradman.

Steve

Book value is $5 for one in Uncirculated condition.

Those in circulated condition are worth 20c as 10,000,000 of them are hoarded away in that condition. But if it's in better than average condition someone may want to part with 50 cents for it.

I would like to make an additional comment on that;
Steve, you must also think it this way; those coins may not sell for more than face value in Australia, but they can value more in the international area. You know, coin collecting is closely related to supply-demand concept and a coin that you want but don't have has more value that is written on it.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all your comments. Maybe I should try one e-bay and see what it sells for.(might cost me more in fees LOL).

Regards
Steve.
