I have a 1883 Morgan silver dollar that the mint mark appears to be speared or something. It is in very good condition, and I can clearly seem the ...mark... It looks more like a rectangle. It could however be an "S" I supose. I will atek a picture of it and post in this thread so maybe someone here has seen it or can tell me what it says. I am not even sure I can post it on this thread. Can I even do that? If not anyone that can help me, can send me an email, and I will send them the picture. Thanks for the help and great website admins!

lego126,

Yes you can post pictures here, but there are some limitations. The file size needs to be 90kb or smaller. Once it is sized, click on the green camera icon below the posting box. When the pop-up appears, click on browse and find the picture in yours files and select it. Last step here is to click on the "upload" bar. The program will tell you that it uploaded correctly or if there is a problem. If OK, close the pop-up. You will see a text string in the post box. You will need to remove every before "http" and everything after ".jpg". Next highlight the remaining string and click on the yellow icon at the top of the post box that has the mountain in it (insert image). That will put the correct syntax in the post so it's visible in the posting.

Don't hestitate to ask questions. We all started at your present position. And btw welcome aboard.
