HI! I'm Paige. I recently picked up coin collecting and hunting as a hobby. I'm a southern girl from the banks of Mississippi, living in the city ish world along the Great Lake of erie in PA, USA. I've found my favorite coin is a 1983 Lincoln Memorial one cent with a perfect circle coming up from the right and through the middle of Lincoln's face, but otherwise the cent is absolutely gorgeous in my opinion. I started coin hunting with the hopes that I could turn one cent into two. Yeah, sounds dumb or greedy I guess, but in tough times with tougher times and being disabled with kids work is hard and I seen no true loss to coin hunting, till I found coins I loved and now my husband's not rolling pennies, just his eyes

to the CCF Erie is a nice little city. Used to go there Every year for the big Mustang car show. As far as your coin goes, that is just some sort of damage. Value 1 cent. It is only an error if it happens during the actual striking of the coin. Anything after that is considered damage

To the forums! Good luck with the hunting! My wife does the same thing when I talk about coins.

Thanks everyone! Thanks Jimmy, I knew it was damaged, seeing as the cut doesn't bubble inwards (I LOVE researching so I did lots of investigating on it & ) there's alot to it in my personal opionon though. The Cent itself is gorgeous while a single cut makes it seem worthless- it kinda felt personal so I started loving (clean) damaged coins.
