It is a tiny bit under weight but we'll within limits under by .05, the colour and texture of the coin is strange to me. Wondering if this is what a lustered brown looks like? Or some form of toning? And was it mayb a weak strike or?

Ill have to look for a similar condition 1982 copper cent, it definitely does not look like any of my other "shiny American cents" maybe I just don't have a copper cent in nice enough shape so this one stands out to me. But the texture is also weird to me, there seems to be a lot of die wear and the portrait has a very smudged looking texture in the hair and on most of the devices, that's why I was thinking maybe a weak strike or really worn die, possibly something else. The 2 in the date looks really big on the bottom but I don't see any contact marks that could have pushed or flattened the metal in that area. Most of the detailing looks bad to me even when comparing it to well circulated coins.

So does anyone know what's going on with the weird texturing of the coin? Old die? Weak strike? I can take some shots looking through my scope tonight. The 2 in the date has taken a hit but no where that looks like it could have flattened and widened the 2 like that. also the pictures I took look kind of blurry but there not that bad, it's the way the coin actually looks.

Here is a close up on the 2, there is a few dings but I don't see anything that could have made it so thick, not just the bottom the entire 2 is huge. Also the "texture of the coin looks off in my scope as well. And when I say texture, many of the devices seem too look like this.

Normal cent. 1982 was the highest production of memorial cents at about 10 billion. The dies are typicaly worn, this one is LDS.

It does not look that circulated at all to me.
Edit: simply look at the full shot coin photos I originally posted. Circulation does not seem to be the culprit. It's almostt 30 years old. Idk though you could be correct about the 4, it could also just be a nice coin with a really worn die. The 4 is not really my main focus either, I get the outer most devices will wear faster. But it still does not look like just a worn coin to me.

@silverwolf, sorry I meant 2, didn't realize the typo. Every single post and picture I have ever done is via the same phone I have had for a few years now.
Edit: when I don't always proof reed what I'm "texting" in my post.
