Hi all. Is this KM # 662 1/2d and what was it used for?

It fits the exact size as a 1/2 penny.

If the size is right, then yes it is an 1806 Halfpenny. (Other sizes could be farthing or penny.)

I suggest the damage is from someone messing about in the workshop. I can see no practical purpose for the serrations as they are, unless someone was trying to create a cog but gave up!

PaddyB. Thanks for dropping by and for the comments. I agree on the cog theory! Have a great day!
