Need help with this coin please. Ran across it as well as a few other Russian coins on a collection/stash/horde that I am helping a friend with.

Is this the rare coin from that year or just a regular variety?
Approximate grade help.
And is it worth sending in to be graded? I see there is a huge difference between VF and XF on the NGC website.

Not a high grade, plenty of them about. I collect 25 kopeks 1859 to 1885. If you have any of those to grade I'd be happy to help.
