Hi everyone, I got this medal with other medals, but I cannot find anything about it. It looks like a samurai on the obverse ? Can someone help me to translate the text ? Is it Year 40 (1907) ? Thank you

Date is 1881, 14th year of reign of Emperor Mutsuhito. Having said that, medallion seems in too good a condition so suspect modern day fantasy coin or repro. Highly doubt this was made in 1881.

Thank you for this ! The medal directly comes from the archives of The Royal Mint of Belgium, should be from that time
