Hi I an new here so forgive any errors, I have a old One Pound Note and on the reverse of it, there is a tiny c above the wording Bank of England at the bottom?
Can anyone tell me what it means and does it make the note valuable?

I don't know much about the item in question but a good close up picture of the front and back would help get you a good answer!

On the reverse side Underneath the ONE POUND in the center of the note look down you will see a little box which has Bank of England, just above that there is a little C. Someone has told me these are not common on notes, I have tried to search the net with no success but of coarse I di not know terminology to seek the result of question?

ust above that there is a little C

Are you sure it's not a small "G"?

"G" was added to some of these notes to indicate they were printed on the experimental German Goebel Press. (Per Numista)

You can visit numista.com and search for the note's info page to learn moree.

This is the best I can do for the C picture, depending on the angle you view it from it can look like a c or a G.

@Poohsmate: I believe both of your latest images show a straigth vertical stem at the bottom of the letter. To me, this is evidence that the letter in question is a "G".

The small letter G on the reverse was a marking used to identify notes printed on a Goebel printing machine. The note dates from the series of 1963.
