I have a Texas 1845 quarter dollar, but the back is upside down.
Is this rare. The head is upside down

. U.S. coins are referred to as "coin turn" and some other countries coins are "medal turn. Photos would help.

That is normal for US coins.
Some countries such as the UK and Canada have what is called Medal Alignment
while others such as the US use what is called Coinage Alignment.

Quite a coincidence, two different people from Birmingham England
ask the same question about a quarter hours apart.

Ok, I have the mystery solved, there are no such things as a 1845 Texas quarter, what you got is a 2004 (P or D) State Quarter with an 1845 date, the year Texas became a state.
