Capped bust half dollars.
Why? They are old, have a classic design, they are silver, and are big coins. And they are generally cheap compared to other types for the same condition. Before bust halves, large cents appealed to me the most. I drifted away from large cents because they tend to corrode and have a darker appearance. I also find silver has a greater intrinsic value as opposed to copper.
This was my first capped bust half purchase. There may be some struck through foreign metal on the reverse between STATES and OF, and a bit under 50 C. You can see the metal in those spots are starting to corrode unlike the rest of the coin.
