I love SL quarters, and this is a very nice strike. But I cannot get enough from this pic to say anything about the surfaces, other that the tiny gouge on the reverse doesn't bother me. Funny you could get such sharp resolution on that Barber dime pick, while this one is quite blurry. Maybe try back up a bit to see if you can get a truer image from farther away. Once you find the right spot, gradually work your way back in closer, refocusing shot by shot. |

I'm just guessing you are trying to find a diamond among a bunch of coins that have less than desirable eye appeal (i understand thats in the eye of the beholder)
on this one, it might clean up with an acetone bath.
the obv shield is stronger than XF with a strong date. so I'm going with a weak obv strike.
reverse AU. I'm at AU50. the two hits on the reverse may be borderline details
