I travelled for work this week and ended up getting this 1793 Large cent in the mail. Thought to check with y'all if it's legit and what grade? D=27.3mm W=12.81g Cheers!

The correct dimensions are 27mm and 13.48 grams. You would have to consult an expert for authenticity as specs had high variances in those early days, but even if it was real, would you want to own this coin in your collection? The 1793 wreath cent is the more common of the 1793 issues. I would throw this fish back in the ocean.

I feel like I'm staring at myself 5 years ago. Those who were around back then may know what I am talking about. My suggestion would be to look for a nice problem-free coin.

To each their own. I would purchase this coin if it was at the right price.
