Silverwolf, you say they are quite common in the fifties I'm only aware of 1951 and 1952 with a doubled "HP". Have you found a doubled "HP" in other years?
On the 1952 50c with a doubled HPs, there are two different readily' findables' styles of doubled HPs. One with a more pronounce doubling and one with a lessser amount of doubling. You will be able to find 4 different Reverses for the the HP doubled as per Bills coin above which shows the more pronounced doubling of the HP and there are two different Reverses for the lesser doubthed HP. They are both illustrated in Charltons 68th catalogue iin the Variety Section.
