Found this roll hunting... If I'm not mistaken these were only sold in gift sets. If so, looks like some kid cracked it open.

I have found about a dozen roll hunting over the years. Almost seems like some went into circulation.

I dont think these were ever sent into circulation from the mint, many people may buy multiple sets and take the best of each, the rest could easily end up in circulation. I have found the odd proof, as well as specimen in circulation, I have come across a few uncirculated set coins in circulation as well. A nice find as unless you buy the set you usually won't come across one. Quarters specifically I have had the worst luck so I might only do 10-20 rolls a month, usually my best finds are americain quarters that I still need. I'm waiting for the day I find my first silver quarter. I recently got a roll with 39/40 1973 Mountie small bust quarters, probably the most interesting quarter roll I have received to date.
