I wanted to know what this was. I purchased a 2021 Peace dollar from the mint. I know that they contain lint and nics in the plastic sometimes but after looking I noticed this was neither. I usually wouldn't mind but it was very obvious on the front and the nic on the number one and back I discovered after. It looks like a piece of the metal is gone. Does anyone know what this is and Does this decrease the value? Did I get messed up? Report this Post to the Staff

There are other folks that have sent in the coin for TPG grading and they came back as MS 70 with a strike through designation.
