Very nice coin! Here is a catalog reference:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces33542.html

As you see, it can be dated more narrowly, to 1298-1310.

It is worth what you paid for it .
I can find an example in slightly better condition that sold this year at a UK auction for about $200.

i looked around and found one of these coins at 2.9 gr , -Ambrosino de 1 ½ Soldi - , so maybe 3.2g isn't all that bad? now I'm a lil lost

Thanks for sharing those references!

I'm not an expert in Milan coins, but from my reading of the first article, it seems you could have a transitional coin between the 6th and 7th emissions. It has the size (weight) of earlier emissions, but the design of the 7th emission with trefoils in the angles, block letters (not gothic) reverse, and a gothic m in AmBROSIV'

I will take a look at the second article and see if I can learn anything more.

Well, unfortunately I have found the reason for the weight discrepancy.
It is a replica: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/ex...a206655.html

For the replica:
Quote:
These reproductions are all identical and a distinctive feature are the two depressions in the upper edge of the reverse (waves above the saint's head).

It seems pretty certain this is what you have, also compatible with the apparent narrow weight ranges given in the articles you posted for genuine coins.

I find the design very well executed for a replica.

If you feel you were deceived, hopefully the seller will allow a return.
