The Charlton Standard Catalogue states that the 1960 proof-like sets were issued in white carboard coin holders, with one of four varieties of the Royal Canadian Mint address stamped on them. By comparison, the proof-like mint sets issued from 1954 to 1969 had plain white cardboard coin holders (no stamp).

I occasionally see listings on ebay for 1960 sets with plain white carboard holders (i.e., without any RCM address stamp).

Can anyone tell me if plain (no stamp) white cardboard holders were also "officially" issued by the RCM in 1960? Or is this just a case of someone inserting the six 1960 coin denominations into an after-market cardboard holder?

They weren't officially released by the mint.. Just the 4 types with stamps. I am sure it is possible some stamps may have been missed. But would be impossible to know for sure.

I would say that any without the stamp were done aftermarket.
As silverwolf stated, it is possible for one to have had the printing missed
but that would be a rare exception and virtually impossible to prove.
