Picked up a handful of ancients recently that I want to share. Looking for thoughts, opinions, and verification of my attributes. (And IDing for the few a can't figure out)
Coin #5/20:
Roman Empire, AR Denarius of Elagabalus
218-222 AD Rome or Antioch Mint?
Obv: ANTONINVS PIVS FEL AVG Bust of Elagabalus right, laureate, draped, and cuirassed(?)
Rev: FORTVNA REDVX Fortuna wearing modius seated left, holding patera and cornucopia with wheel beneath seat.
3.54g - 19mm
RIC VI Elagabalus 81 or 189?
The only difference between RIC VI 81 (Rome Mint) and 189 (Antioch Mint) that I can glean from the description is 81 is draped and cuirassed and 189 is just draped. I can never tell the difference between those two bust types so I could use some help with this one!
