For all you BHD collectors out there, I found a gentleman who is selling the newest edition (4th) for the unbelievable amount of $58 (includes US postage). His name is Stuart Keen and he can be contacted at coinsak@juno.com by anyone who is interested in ordering one. I already ordered mine and will also be getting a price list from him with my book. I'll be sure to share that info with all of you as well when I receive it.

I received my copy from him today and I am enjoying it immensely. I learned to do Bust half die attribution with Peterson, but it is nice to have Overton now too. I am partial to the methodology that Peterson uses, but there is more textual info in Overton that I can and will use as a reference.

Thanks for the notice Susan, I appreciate it!

It stands for "Bust Half Dollar" The design on the US 50 cent piece from 1794-1839 is referred to as a Bust half.
