Here's its history from Wikipedia
The Bank of England 10s note, colloquially known as the 10 bob note or just the 10 bob was a banknote of the pound sterling. Ten shillings in pre-decimal money (written 10s or 10/-) was equivalent to half of one pound. The ten-shilling note was the smallest denomination note ever issued by the Bank of England. The note was issued by the Bank of England for the first time in 1928 and continued to be printed until 1969. The note ceased to be legal tender in 1970 and was removed in favour of the fifty pence coin.

Do 10 shilling notes have any value?
A ten-shilling note can be exchanged at the Bank of England for 50p. Yet they are selling for between £2 and £5 each on ebay. So if you found a wad of 20, you could make £100.Aug 22, 2017

This note with signature O'Brien was issued between 1955 to 1960. This was the last note from this series before they changed to last run of 10/- notes in the next series which is smaller and "longer" in the size. The note itself was made no longer legal tender in 1962. 10 bob was considerable sum of money back then. It could buy 5 pints of beer or 2 packs of cigarettes if I recalled correctly. I grew up hearing many old prices. This note is quite common.

In this condition, you could get $3 to $5. Maybe a bit more. It is not in mint or uncirculated condition which you could get more money.
