I have one but I don't see it listed on CoinsandCanada .Is it a known variety or rare?

That N is normal since they used the 1876 Obverse dies for '81 & '82, but they went ahead and handpunched full serifs on the N's for most of the dies. On others, they handpunched full N's over the single serif N's. Check out any 1876 and it will look the same as yours.

Normal. Take a look at the Obv 1 pic on C&C (or in Charlton) and you'll see the single serif N.
