@pacificoin, I was just taught that it's basically like saying the bestest. Regardless being an absolute word does not need a prefix to emphasize it. Much like saying better then the best, it's just saying the best.
I didn't mean to try and lecture you on English, as I have said it's not my strong suit. It's just a bit of a trigger for me due to how I was raised lol. I don't actually care how you want to say or write anything. So feel free to ignore that comment it was more of a jest then anything.

Well, we have some interesting results here. The majority was of a decent mint state grade (ranging from MS-62 to -64), a couple of high AU guesses, one Unc. Details and a debate of the Queen's English tossed in for good measure. THIS, is the certificate from the soft flip that I snipped this out of. Purchased from the Colonial Acres website, 02 March 2021. I really need to start photographing these things before I snip them out of the flips...  The closest guessed grade (AU-55) was still 35 grade points off. That said, I had graded this one myself as MS-63BN, and I think the toning/colour is natural. For fun, it will be submitted to PCGS later this spring, so stay tuned. Wow, they definitely under graded this coin. The details are very crisp, it's almost as if they graded the error as It detracts from the grade.i imagine grading an error like this could be tricky but vf2o makes no sense imo.

Okie, the point is not to call a grading company out (because mistakes happen). The main point is to recognize elements of circulation and wear in a toned error. I paid $25 for this coin, a steal for this degree of off-centre, because I saw zero wear on the leaf tips, and I saw that it was not 'ball-capped' on the collar die.
Learn to grade and trust your eyes is the message here to collectors.

WOW, VF-20, quelle erreur ! There are a lot of small marks all over the blank sections which is probably what decided the grade. Off course, those marks were on the blank planchet before the strike, and didn't get removed because the die never struck there.

It's interesting to see the surface finish variation between the raw planchet and the struck zone.
Maybe the planchet portion influenced the certification.
But we agree that those marks are not circulation wear.
