Hello!

I am wondering if anyone else has seen this. But I have what looks like a 1992-P 5C piece with an extra step struck on the bottom of the steps.

I'm curious if anyone else can help identify this variety or confirm what I'm seeing at the least.

Never seen one like this. Thank you for the help and Happy 2022!

Not an extra step. It looks like the start of a lamination peal. You can see it extend beyond the steps on either side.

Thank you for this! I'm not exactly that familiar with lamination yet, still learning. I will be googling it for sure though! :)

Either way, it sure creates a nice effect. Thanks again!

Pretty normal-looking for the era and chewed up - guessing AU-55/58.
