One time I purchased about five rolls of coins via an online auction site. The seller dumped the coins (not the rolls, the coins, naked) into a cardboard box of the size one might use to ship a bowling ball. He put nothing else in the box to take up the vast excess space. Needless to say, the box arrived flattened, with gaps at the edges where about half the coins had escaped and were lost. The seller refused do to anything about it, unless you count the negative feedback he left me.

What coin shipping adventures have you had?

Sellers used to be able to leave negatives for buyers on ebay. He doesn't say this happened recently so it could have been back then.

Yes, feedback rules have changed over time. Most sellers package coins reasonably. That example with coins loose in a large box is the worst packaging I've experienced.

I do not recall ever hearing a worse experience here.
