Here are two different, what I believe to be die chips on the chimney on the Homestead Quarter. What do you think?

I found rolls full of die chipped homesteads and I figured it wasn't worth keeping any of them so I spent them.

First one seem to be strange for a die chip. Second one could have other thing near a die chip. You look down under T and E near the roof?, it id not a die crack?
