Photos not very clear but it looks like the rim has been sliced somehow pushing the metal inwards. PMD

yep, PMD. that big hit on the reverse, explains the flattening on the obverse in the same location.

Tend to agree with PSD.

Especially with the flattening of the letters on the opposite side like Dearborn mentioned.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
