The coins like this I've found could be opened by twisting one side relative to the other, as if unmessing with the two parts. This might involve pressing one side's surface with a thumb, something most collectors instinctually avoid.

("unmessing" is a word substituted by this board for a term that involves use of a screwdriver)

I've heard of putting it into a glass/glass and shaking the glass a bit and they open that way. (not hard though) That was mentioned on here before.

Thanks coop, I tried that a little while ago in a quart jar but did not come apart may be glued I may try acetone soak or may just leave it
