how is every one going about getting theres I want to make sure I get a proof and unc. I remember a few years back I wanted to get the lewis and clark coin and currency set and the silver buffalo that came out but they sold out before I had the chance. I'm going to order mine from the mint on the first day to make sure I get them.
just wondering what every one else is doing

Yes I have gone the 1st day at the 1st minute and still not got them this may be the case with the special dollar, cent package also we will see.
Me thinks the Home shopping networks have an inside edge and gets 20,000 out of the 50,000 that will be minted.
But I have the Internet on as soon as they show up on the mint web site I will place my order hope it is not then sold out with me again not getting my order. I guess they go on sale at 12 noon I assume that is EST

Yes 12 est. I just ordered my proof and uncirc. Took a few minutes cuz the site was really busy of course!

Ordered two Proofs.....no problem. Keep this in mind for those who choose to wait. Quote:

Looks like the backorder is dated to ship 4/1 for customers placing orders now.

I was in Springfield all day Thursday so I did not get a chance to order then. Judging by some of the stories here about the frustrations involved in ordering that day, I am glad I did not try  I did easily place my order this afternoon for two of each and noticed the ship date is 4/01/09. I would say these will probably sell out in a matter of a couple weeks or so(I hope  ) |

I just hope I don't regret ONLY ORDERING TWO PROOFS !.......(now I'm wondering if I should've ordered two Uncirculated as well........like Bio did.

looks like the ship date for the proof moved up a month but the uncirculated is still set for 4/01 Link Buti guess it depends on what link you look at other link |
