Hi all, I stated looking at the Pennies today, & I noticed that there were 2 of them in Red color. Is this discoloration over time?

Please see Pictures. I placed a normal looking Penny in the middle of the 2 Reds.

Furthermore, I took picture of the 1950s set; please look at the picture from the bottom coins, then up. The Pennies on top of the bottom row are of the same year. There were a lot of 1958's. Please let me know if any are rare.

Thank you!

I think I can help a little here . Your Lincoln's are nice, but very common dates for all that I see from all of the mintmarks shown. Actually, all the dates from 1940 on are common but still cool to collect and keep, as I do anyways. I would say the reddish color is due to natural discoloration from any possible environment. It is possible to have cool varieties such as re-punched mintmarks.

The four rare dates are 1909-Svdb, 1909-S, 1914-D, and 1931-S. There are a bunch of semi keys in the teens, twenties, and early thirties, and all of those have mintmarks.

Most pics too small to evaluate, but it's unlikely there's much value here. You'll get more replies if you show your pics right-side up.

PLEASE only one coin at a time (one per thread) and show us both sides of your coin. And please tell us why you think your coin is an error coin. Thanks.
