1991 D Off-Center? Is The Date Doubled As Well?

FalkorsFolly New Member United States 6 Posts	Posted 02/05/2022 01:23 am First a steel penny then I pull this out of my pocket. Is this an error or have I just strained my eyes too much today? Not going to lie it's rather addictive sitting there with my magnifying glass just examining a coin top to bottom. I just recently started looking at coins as a stress relief and I gata say it's working great! #128516; it also looked like doubling on the date but I'm not sure, going to pick up a usb microscope tomorrow. This one is minor, and doesn't carry a premium. It may be a keeper though for future reference. Be careful staring at coins for too long. You will probably spot an "error" on ever part of every coin, even though it is something common or your eyes are playing tricks on you. Suffering from bust half fever. In addition, the weak appearance of the 'STATES' on the reverse is due to the obverse taking up muck of the material to form the bust and not leaving enough to fully imprint the reverse design.
