Script timed out
/forum/post_info.asp

I actually get this error quite frequently. Whenever I go to reply, I get this error I would say 1 our of every 4 or 5 times. The message still gets posted, but does not change the total post count.
Is this known? Edited by jdheyne 03/06/2006 10:46 am

Does this happen when you use quick reply, or do you click the Reply to Topic link, or even the Reply with Quote link?

Sorry, jdheyne, but do you use the quick reply window below the post, but in the same page, or do you click a link before and a new page opens to create the reply?

Same with Susan and I, Rui.
It's been happening fairly often. We never use the quick reply box and rarely use the reply with quote option.
Here's some facts I do know about it.
1.) 99% of the time the post is actually there despite the error message, however from outside the topic, your post will not show as the last post, the previous one will still show, even though yours is there.
2.) If you hit your browsers refresh button while viewing the error, the post will usually post again, resulting in a double post.

I've tweaked a few database indexes. Let me know if the situation persists.

Did a couple more ops on the DB indexes. Please let me know if you still experience these timeouts.

So far, so good.
I have had probably 10 post since this and I have not received that error anymore. It would normally do it atleast once out of every five times for me.

A casual timeout can occur. I'm a bit worried with the timeouts when posting. Please let me know about it.
