First off, from all of us! Lots of experience here, we are glad to share it when we know we can help.
This I am not sure of either, but it could be some sort of gaming token? Another question is how big is it; is it the size of a dime or a silver dollar?

I'm not sure it's a coin. It's very round and has a rim (and so is not ancient) and has no lettering or numbering on it, which you'd expect on a coin.
