Die-polishing lines detract - I'll say MS-62RD, possibly 63RD.

After having viewed thousands of pictures on Ha. com It seems that die polishing lines tend to make the coin more lustrous and usually can't be seen by the naked eye. I am still a newbie but I like die polishing lines and the circular luster that comes with most of them. Thad I don't think you captured all the different colors you were shooting for

Let's add some supplemental pictures.

Why are the lines so "brillo pad" intense on this coin? Theories?

I'd guess this coin was struck soon after the die was polished, before wear had smoothed the grooves.

Why does anyone think those 3 main areas are so polished? The right & left obverse fields and the bottom, center of the reverse?

why do you not think they are polishing lines?

look at the last blowup of the reverse. none of those lines cross over the devices

the polishing likely removed clash marks from the dies, the reverse seems to still show a bit of Abe's head below America

Nick wins again! The polish lines match the locations of the obverse devices that clashed with the reverse die.
