The label on this reads
"Ancient India, Mauryan Empire c.300-180 BC
Obv. Sun, Tree, Bull, Elephant
Rev. Countermark"
I'd like to more precisely ID and date it so that I can read up on the history behind it and these coins.
It's AR, 14mm square, 4 gms (not got more precise scales at the moment).
It looks similar to Samprati, 216-207 BC Karshapana examples.
Advice anyone?
