Note: When considering the coin dates vs. the various presidential terms, remember that the year placed on a coin does not always correspond to the year when its authorizing legislation was signed into law.

So FDR, one of histories greatest Presidents, was actually responsible for authorizing the coins that came to be the commemorative craze era of the 1930's.

Amazing fact - and great input on the series commems. Many thanks for compiling and publishing this unique way of viewing the series history.
